At major events and large-scale emergencies, the St John Communications Team is crucial in providing radio communications support to our frontline teams.
The teams run the state-wide system and communication network to relay messages to our first aid crews, helping them provide fast and efficient emergency responses.
Our St John Communications Centre (4SJ-Brisbane), located at HQ is able to be activated and run by our communications team for our Major Events and Disasters. While St John increases / upgrades its radio network throughout the state, the communications centre allows for expanded capacity.
