Health care students can gain invaluable clinical experience by working alongside qualified health care professionals, treating real casualties and dealing with real emergencies.

  • Opportunities to attend clinical workshops and presentations, including patient assessment and cardiac monitoring

  • Additional qualifications including frontline management as well as training and assessment

By volunteering with St John Ambulance (Qld) you will:

  • Develop essential pre-hospital skills including triage and complex care
  • Experience unique multiple patient presentations in the pre-hospital environment during the early stages of acute illness

  • Hold an esteemed place in St John Ambulance, an international not-for-profit organisation which assists people in need, sickness or distress

 

Prerequisites

  • Application and interview
  • Nationally accredited Provide First Aid certificate
  • National Police check and Working with Children check
